I'm a widow of almost 8 years after 25 years. You already know my age and height. Many people tell me I don't look or act my age. I usually tell them I can't act my age because I've never been this old before. I love learning new skills and although only have a high school education, I have learned a lot through the college of life and enhanced it with the array of employment opportunities I had. I enjoy life, and I love helping family and friends, and I've been known to help strangers. Although most aren't any stranger or crazier than I am.
I've been accused of telling it like it is. I treat everyone I meet with respect and expect to be treated the same. Some things I like to do, and mind you, I'm not saying I'm good at them, is playing pool, some card games, gardening, reading, and enjoying the outdoors, and yes, I like rodeos, movies, and old country music. Some of the new isn't too bad, depends on the singer. I've been a confessed workaholic since I've been widowed, mainly to keep busy.
I was born in SanAngelo,TX and was raised as a military brat. When dad retired, I kept on moving around until I landed back in Texas. I've been in Lubbock since '82. Met and married my 2nd husband in 1993. I have 1 son and 3 daughters of the heart my second husband brought with him. My daughters have given me 3 granddaughters and 1 grandson. My son is the only one that lives in the area.
I'm a church going woman. While I may not seem very religious, I am a firm believer in God the Father and in Jesus Christ, and I work at living in a manner that would be pleasing to them.
I do like meeting new people and I believe there is always a reason I meet them. Either because I need them or they need me and God brought us together for a purpose.
