I have a sarcastic/deadpan (mixed with a little bit of cheese) sense of humour and making fun of myself is part of it. After all, if you can't laugh at yourself, then you're too boring!
Grew up on a farm, but living in Calgary now. I've kept many of those ethics and morals that I learned from my parents and I wouldn't want to have grown up anywhere else. I like to get out of town when I can, to not only see other places, but also just to get away for a bit. It doesn't have to be far (High River or Bragg Creek), but I've been known to take last-minute road trips to Edmonton, Montana, Drumheller, or Banff.
I still miss the freedom of riding the quad and bike or sitting out in the backyard and listen to the coyotes howl in the distance. People in the city just don't know what they missed growing up here, which makes me miss it more.
Two years ago, I went to Egypt and Jordan for a few weeks and loved every minute of it. Peru, Ecuador, and Costa Rica are on my list, but my next ultimate trip would be to take an overland trip through Namibia, Botswana, South Africa, Mozambique, Zimbabwe, and Zambia. A good friend did that African excursion and couldn't say enough great things about it. It's a long trip, but it would be a trip of a lifetime!
My career keeps me busy with people every day and I love it, but I separate it from my social life or I guarantee that I'd be working all of the time. My plan is to have a small acreage that I could call my own. I don't want to raise kids in the city...not if I can help it. I can do a lot of my work from home, so that makes it a viable plan.

All I'm lookin' for is a fun girl who's easy-going, has a great sense of humour, honest, adventurous, and sociable.
