I am friendly and looking for a new friend. Have gone through lots of changes in the last few years that have left me ready to start on new adventures to get back to being just me. Have lived in a variety of places South Dakota, Nebraska, New York, Alaska, Georgia and finally settled in Iowa after leaving the Air Force. Done most of my "adulting" here and miss the wandering life now that my husband is gone and the grandkids are getting ready to go on with their lives with the last one in college now. Grew up in a multigenerational home and have spent most of my adult life in the same. Come from a family that has always taken in strays both humans and animals so will never have a totally empty house.
Still trying to decide on something new that I would like to try. As the granddaughters have grown up and since their Papa passed have begun telling them stories finally about when I was younger and that has set me back on the path to realizing that I have taken chances and done things that were a bit unusual. So now I need to move forward looking for new challenges.

Someone who is fun to talk to and spend time with. Someone with some of the same interests as myself and some that I can learn. Honesty and good conversation is always a good starting point. A quirky sense of humor is a wonderful thing.
